The attic style studios on the top floor of the Alto Lagar are full of unique charm. If this was a hotel, it would be called a junior suite. Being on the top floor of the building, views will take your breath away. The studio sleeps from 3 to 5 people with use of a sofa bed. (2 adults and 2 children plus one single or 3 adults plus one single.)

Really nice property, with great views of Funchal and the sea. Room was clean, quiet and spacious with little balcony to sit out on. Property was easy to get to from airport transfers and was close enough to the city to walk into without being too far. Quiet location and felt well rested and had lovely pool to sit by during our stay. A word of warning to anyone walking back from Funchal, as hill is steep but walkable. Shops nearby to pick up essentials for apartment

We absolutely loved our stay. The pool and facilities on site were a huge plus, you felt like you were in your own little paradise! The staff were super helpful, I couldn’t praise them enough for helping us check in and organise a rental car! The apartment was super clean and the cleaners came each day. The facilities were also great for cooking and storing food. I’d recommend this place if you don’t mind walking some hills or are renting a car!

The view over the city and ocean, (but steepy roads if go to the center). But waking up in the morning we could listen to beautiful birds song. The athmosphere is great, the pool, spacy apartement room, well equiepped. We choose the breakfast basquet every morning, it was so lovely to start the day like this. The personal was very helpful.

There is a large school behind the apartments but we found there was very little noise when we stayed there.
